Back in preschool, my mom noticed I could color within the lines easy for my age. Fast forward to high school, where I earned the 'most creative' senior superlative. Despite my artistic flair, I chose not to pursue art school due to discouraging words from peers who deemed art as "useless" and claimed I'd "never make any money."
At 17, I initiated GWPhotography as a side venture, hesitant to fully embrace my passion without realizing its potential for a sustainable livelihood. Post-college, armed with a psychology degree but uncertain about my path, I sensed the need for more schooling but wasn't ready for it. A challenging day at my job in an inpatient psych hospital prompted a pivotal decision – to follow my heart and pursue what I truly love.
After six years of soul-searching, I finally embraced my calling. It became clear that my true purpose was to create, and so I set out on the path that was meant for me.
